Astypalea map
Capital: Astypalea
Overview:
Astypalea, the connecting
link between the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, is ideal for
peaceful vacations. White-washed houses, rich historical and cultural heritage,
colorful courtyards, beautiful chapels and coasts, hills and high rocks
comprise contrasting, thus wonderful, pictures. A narrow strip, Steno, divides
the island into two parts, Exo and Mesa Nisi (Outer and Inner Island). Verdant
valleys, long beaches, caves, lakes, coastal scenery and sights are to be found
in abundance.
