The island of Leros is known for its relaxing atmosphere and the family beaches. Most sites on this small island of Dodecanese are restricted to nice villages, beaches and some interesting places to visit. The most characteristic spots of Leros are the traditional windmill in Agia Marina and the Medieval Castle on top of the hill above Pandeli village. Traditional Windmills
WindmillsThe most picturesque site of old windmills on Leros is the windmills in Pandeli, on the way to the castle. On the other hand, when being on the north side of the island, it is possible to see some modern windmills on top of the mountains.

MuseumsThe Archaeological Museum is housed in a Neoclassical building in Agia Marina that dates from 1882. It houses collections of prehistoric findings, funeral offerings, small statues and ceramics from the Geometrical era.
