Chora of Folegandros is a gem to stroll around and take a small hike up to the church of Panagia, on top of the hill. Kastro, the oldest quarter of Chora, is the most picturesque part of this small town. Katergo and Agali are among the best beaches in Folegandros, with truly relaxing landscapes and crystal waters.
Kastro is the most picturesque quarter of Chora. This is the Medieval town of Chora that used to be surrounded by strong castle walls. Today the walls haven't survived and the town has spread around Kastro.
The lovely church of Panagia stands on top of a hill above Chora, offering a great view to the sea and the island. This traditional church is reached in 10 minutes walk from Chora, following a paved path. In the yard of the church, there are the remains of an ancient temple.
The Folklore Museum in Ano Meria Folegandros is housed in a traditional, agricultural house and it has all the premises of old times, such as a wood oven, stable, well and olive press.
Chryssospilia Cave is an impressive natural monument, reachable only by boat. The findings in the cave include remains of human bones, ancient vases, a Roman cistern, and beautiful stalactites.
