Blue Star Ferries

A popular choice among tourists travelling from the Greek mainland to the Islands, Blue Star Ferries sails to the Cyclades, Dodecanese and North Aegean Islands including Santorini, Crete, Rhodes and Lesvos.

The company operates eight car-passenger and high-speed ferries, which can carry foot passengers, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, trucks and cargo. Seating options onboard include business, reserved and open-deck seating, as well as cabins. Onboard facilities include self-service and à la carte restaurants, Wi-Fi and ATMs.

Formerly known as Strintzis Lines Shipping, Blue Star Ferries was bought and rebranded by Attica Group in 1999. Today, it is one of Attica Group’s four subsidiaries: the others are Superfast Ferries, Hellenic Seaways and Africa Morocco Link.

Blue Star Ferries has a robust environmental policy. Its newest ship is fuelled by liquid natural gas (LNG) and is designed to reduce energy use. In 2018, the company won at the Greek Tourism Awards for its passenger reward program Seasmiles.
