Chania Airport (CHQ)

The International Airport of Chania "Ioannis Daskalogiannis" is located in the peninsula of Akrotiri, 14km from the center of Chania Town. It was named after a Cretan rebel who fought against the Ottoman occupation of Crete island in the 18th century. This small airport serves both domestic flights, to and from Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as charter flights from many European cities, especially in the summer period.
