sam57 04 Mar 2009Funny sports to doAlthough best beaches on Corfu are found on the northern part, Agios Gordis is one of the few beaches in the centre of the island worth to visit. The water is crystal and warm (opposed to Paleokastritsa beach where water is freezing) and you can do many sports there. I enjoyed Banana a lot! The ambience around the beach is so green and relaxing. Try traditional dishes in the taverns there, sofrito and patsitsada are the most famous dishes of Corfu.

jane24er 02 Jul 2008Too noisyVery crowded, especially in July and August. We go frequently to Corfu, almost every summer and have visited almost al beaches on the island. Agios Gordis has nice water and sandy coast but it is too noisy. There are a lot of hotels around, so you will find tourists from early in the morning till late in the evening. Safe for the children and the elderly,
however.
