How to get to Kythira?

You can reach Kythira from the port of Neapolis on the southern coast of Peloponnese. Routes are carried out almost daily and the trip lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Also, ferries to Kythira depart 3 times a week from Gythio in Peloponnese and Kissamos in Crete. From Athens, there are only a few direct routes from the port of Piraeus to Kythira, which are carried out only during summer and only once per week.

Kithira Island National Airport "Alexandros Aristotelous Onassis" receives domestic flights from Athens all year round and the trip lasts about 1 hour. During summer, some extra flights are carried out between Kythira and some Ionian islands, like Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Corfu.
