How to get to Tilos?

There is a ferry connection between Tilos and Athens, as ferries depart from Piraeus port for Tilos about 3 times a week. However, the trip is quite long and it lasts approximately 17 hours. If you are traveling from Athens to Tilos, then it might be more convenient for you to reach Rhodes or Kos by plane within a one or two - hours trip and then travel to Tilos by ferry .
In any case, Tilos is also connected by ferry with other islands of the Dodecanese, like Simi, Leros, and Patmos.

There is no airport on the small island of Tilos. The closest ones are located in Rhodes and Kos.
Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras" is among the four busiest airports in Greece. It receives domestic flights from Athens, Thessaloniki and other locations, while in summer it receives flights from many countries around Europe, too. The flight time from Athens to Rhodes is estimated at around 50 minutes.
Kos International Airport "Hippocrates" receives domestic flights all year round mainly from Athens. Flights from Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Heraklion and Astypalea are carried out frequently, too. During summer, the airport is connected with some European countries as well. The flight time from Athens to Kos is estimated around 1 hour.
Either from Rhodes or from Kos, you can easily reach Tilos by ferry. In each case, though, you should take a taxi for your transfer from the airport to the port.
