How to get to Karpathos?

Karpathos Island National Airport receives domestic flights from Athens all year round. The duration of the flight is about 1 hour.
During summer, the airport also receives flights from some European countries, including Germany and The Netherlands.
Upon your arrival on the island, it is a good idea to take a taxi for your transfer, since the airport is located about 14 km away from Pigadia, the most central spot of the island.

You can reach Karpathos by ferry from the port of Piraeus in Athens, as there are available routes approximately 3 times per week. However, the trip lasts from 18 to 21 hours.
Apart from Athens, Karpathos is also connected by ferry with other islands in the Aegean like Milos, Santorini, Anafi, Kasos, Rhodes, Heraklion and Sitia in Crete and other islands.
From Rhodes to Karpathos, the trip lasts approximately 5 hours.
