Olympos
Location: 58 km north west of Pigadia
Description: Olympos is a mountainous island with stone houses. When the coulds come down and cover the village, the atmposhere is dreamy. This is probably the most beautiful village on Karpathos.
Diafani
Location: 67 km north of Pigadia
Description: Diafani is a small tourist village close to Olympos. Located on the northern side, Diafani is the second most important port of the island.
Pigadia
Location: On the south eastern side of Karpathos
Description: Pigadia is the capital and main port of the island. The modern village stands on the location of ancient Potideon, whose ruins are seen at the entrance of the port. This is a nice base to explore the beaches and villages of Karpathos.
Menetes
Location: 8 km south west of Pigadia
Description: Constructed along the slopes of a rocky hill, Menetes is a small village with rich musical tradition and authentic architecture.
Othos
Location: 12 km north west of Pigadia
Description: Othos is a traditional village famous for its local festivities. It is situated at an altitude of 510 m and it is surrounded by lush greenery.
Aperi
Location: 8 km north west of Pigadia
Description: Aperi used to be the old capital of the island. Hidden by high slopes, Aperi was not used from the sea, so it was a protected area against pirates in the Medieval times. Today, it is a small village with typical architecture.
Arkassa
Location: 16 km west of Pigadia
Description: Arkassa is a beautiful village on the western side of Karpathos, the ideal place to relax in your holidays.
Finiki
Location: 18 km south west of Pigadia
Description: Finiki is a small and picturesque fishing port with some tourist facilities. It gets pretty popular in summer.
Lefkos
Location: 31 km north west of Pigadia
Description: Lefkos is a seaside village that has developed many tourist facilities over the last years. The region around Lefkos has many small coves with sandy coast.
Mesochori
Location: Mesochori is a traditional village built between the sea and the rocky mainland. The architecture of Mesochori distinguishes by narrow paths, white houses and small chapels.
Piles
Location: 17 km north west of Pigadia
Description: A small village located on the north western side of the island, Piles is close to secluded beaches and has a small agricultural museum.
Volada
Location: 10 km north west of Karpathos
Description: This is a tiny, mountainous village close to Aperi. Totally unaffected by tourism, Volada offers a clear view of rural life in Karpathos.
