The most famous spot of Syros is Ermoupolis, the capital town, which distinguishes for its Venetian architecture and the large port. The most interesting site in Syros are found in Ermoupolis and include the Town Hall, the Church of Resurrection and the Church of Agios Nikolaos. These two churches, one Catholic and the other Orthodox, are constructed on top of the two hills of Ermoupolis, one facing the other. Apart from the capital town, a very nice place to stroll around is Ano Syros, a settlement located on the slopes of a hill and offering a fantastic view of the sea.

Town Hall
OtherThe impressive neoclassical building that houses the Town Hall of Ermoupolis is the trademark of the island. It was designed by the famous architect Ernst Ziller and is located in Miaouli Square.
Vaporia Quarter
