The most picturesque site of old windmills on Leros is the windmills in Pandeli, on the way to the castle. On the other hand, when being on the north side of the island, it is possible to see some modern windmills on top of the mountains.
The lovely church of Agios Isidoros stands on the islet of Alinda that is connected to the land by a narrow passage. The little chapel is built on the site of an ancient temple, the ruins of which can still be seen behind the altar. The view from the church is very beautiful, especially in the sunset.
The picturesque village of Agia Marina is getting popular in summer for the fish taverns and the beaches that are located in a short walk away. This is a convenient place to stay during holidays.
On the hill above the villages of Platanos and Pandeli is a strong imposing castle that dates from the Medieval times. This castle offers amazing view to the sea.
