Sifnos Villages

Location: 3 km east of Apollonia
Description: Kastro, the old capital of Sifnos, is probably the most picturesque village on the island. Its symbol is a small chapel on the rocks right before the entrance to Kastro.

Location: 2 km north of Apollonia
Description: Artemonas is a lovely Cycladic village, almost united to Apollonia. It has many elegant mansions and picturesque paths among flowered gardens.

Location: On the eastern side of the island
Description: Apollonia is the capital village of Sifnos. It stands along the slopes of a hill and provides amazing view to the sea. The architecture of Apollonia has an authentic Cycladic style.

Location: 6 km north west of Apollonia
Description: Kamares, situated on the western side of the island, is the main port of Sifnos. It has many tourist facilties and an organized, sandy beach. Boats depart from the port and make the tour of the island.

Location: 10 km south west of Apollonia
Description: Vathi is a lovely fishing village with long tradition in pottery. It has a small sandy beach and the nature around consists of olive groves and fruit cultivations.

Location: 7 km south east of Apollonia
Description: Faros is a picturesque fishing port with some tourist facilities. Amazing beaches with crystal water mark the coast around Faros.

Location: 1 km south of Apollonia
Description: Exabela is a beautiful village also united with Apollonia. It has the typical Cycladic architecture and a lovely nature surrounds it.
