Goulandris Museum of Modern Art
MuseumsThe Goulandris Museum of Contemporary Art was established in 1979 and organizes painting exhibitions of local and foreign artists. This is the most important museum of Andros.
Nautical Museum
MuseumsThis museum presents the entire history of Andros merchant marine, from the ancient times to our day. It is located in Chora, up in the square of the Unknown Sailor.
Lighthouse
OtherThe lighthouse Tourlitis first operated in 1887 and was renovated in 1994. This is the first automatic lighthouse of the Greek lighthouse system. It is considered as one of the most beautiful worldwide.
Waterfalls

Kairis Library
MuseumsThis library is housed in a wonderful Neoclassical building in Chora. The library contains about 3000 tomes from the collection of Theofilos Kairis, who was a scholar and priest in Andros (1784-1852). In summer, some art exhibitions are organized in the new exhibition area of the library.
Panagia Thalassini
ChurchesThis small chapel on the rock is the most typical church of Andros. Panagia Thalassini is located in the old harbor of Chora.
Panagia Theoskepasti
ChurchesThe Church of Panagia Theoskepasti is the protector of the island. It is built on top of a cave, where the holy icon of the Virgin Mary was found.
Cyclades Olive Museum
MuseumsIn the mountainous village of Ano Pitrofos, close to Menites, is the Cyclades Olive Museum. This is a private museum housed in a restored oil mill, showing the traditional way of animal-powered olive production.

Hellenistic Tower of Agios Petros
OtherThe tower of Agios Petros is a quite well-preserved tower, placed on a hill overlooking the bay of Gavrio. It was probably built in the Hellenistic Era, in the 4th or 3rd century BC.
Archaeological Museum
MuseumsSituated in Kairi Square, just in front of the Museum of Modern Art, the Archaeological Museum of Andros was built in 1981, sponsored by Goulandris Foundation. The two floors of the museum hosts findings from excavation sites on the island, such as sings, marble statues, tools, and pieces of weapon.
Kydonieos Institute
Cultural CentresThis institute was founded in 1994 by Petros and Marika Kydonieos who wanted to exhibit culture and art in its many and various forms. Their main interests were concentrating mainly on fine arts such as music, theatre, and literature (Greek and international). Every summer, an exhibition is organized showing works of art which have contributed to the quest of contemporary art.
