matej.cerne 22 Mar 2017The place to stayIn my opinion the best place to sleep in Andros is Batsi. It is about 7km from Gavrio port, so taxi to/from port is cheap. In Batsi you will find everything the tourist may need (rent a car/moto, laundry, restaurants, ...) All other places you can visit in 1 day and there is no need to sleep there. I stayed in Chora for 2 nights, but it was waste of time & money. After 2 nights I moved to Batsi.

todlef34 22 Jul 2008Fun nightlifeBatsi is where most tourists on Andros go. Nice village, pretty small but has all what you may need in your vacation. Many luxury hotels there and great beaches nearby, like Agia Marina and Stivari. Prices good, compared to other Greek islands, such as Mykonos and Ios, which I found too expensive. The nightlife is fine. A lot of bars that stay overnight and fun people, especially the tourists from Athens, who come to Andros to spend the weekend.
