Anafi Kalamiotissa Monastery

The Monastery of Panagia Kalamiotissa in Anafi Greece, Cyclades: The Monastery of Panagia Kalamiotissa is actually a small church on the south eastern side of Anafi island. Presently no monks live in this monastery. It is built on top of Kalamos Rock, from where it took its name, at an altitude of 480m and offers a great view to the Aegean Sea.

The Monastery of Panagia Kalamiotissa is a popular hiking destination in Anafi Cyclades. It can be reached through a trekking path from the Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi in about 90 min. The route is a bit risky but offers a nice view of the sea.
