Therma hot spring and Prophet Elias hiking tour

Water is the most important liquid we know. Without water, there would be no life on earth. It is everywhere we look, in the ground and in the air that we breathe. Water has been forming our earth since its beginning. It also prevents the earth from becoming too hot or too cold. Water is part of our daily life. We use the same water over and over again. It has been important for people for thousands of years.

Therma hot springs have been known since ancient times due to the healing properties of the water. Flowing water supports agricultural production while seawater is the strongest of all the competitive advantages of an island. Hike from Therma hot spring to the top of the mountain, where the chapel of Prophet Elias is located, enjoy the marvellous view and discover how water affects the Lemnian daily life.

Hiking starts from Therma hot spring 08:30am or 05:30pm depending on the season and we keep ascending for 50min through a rural road. Before reaching the top, we hike on a rocky path for 10min. We return through the same path. The total distance of the trail is 5,5km. In between there are several stops to experience certain phenomena. Hiking time is 2h. At the time of our choice we can have a snack.

Notes:The tour is not tailor -made for children. They can easily follow the trail as long as they are interested in nature adventures.
In order to ensure the best possible service for the guests, the tour is done with qualified professional guide, environmentalist, member of Interpret Europe Association.
In her backpack, the guide includes a first aid kit, so you don’t need to bring along your own one, unless there are any extra individual medical needs.

What to bring: Do not forget to wear proper garment according to season, hiking or training shoes and of course bring your photo camera to capture the beauty of nature.
