Tour To Dion, Olympos
General Description
Dion, a place dedicated to the worship of the Olympian Zeus, is located near the home of the twelve Olympian Gods, Mount Olympus.
In antiquity, Dion served as the religious center of the Ancient Macedonians and was renowned all over Greece. Before starting his fabled expedition in Asia, Alexander the Great visited the Dion to offer rich sacrifices for the Gods to bless him. Our tour begins with a visit to the archaeological site and the museum of Dion. Then, we head up to the traditional picturesque village of Palaios Panteleimonas. There, you will have plenty of time to explore it while walking around the stone-paved alleys and gazing at the cute dwellings. The time will be enough for you to have lunch and stroll around the settlement. After exploring the 14th-century quaint village, we will take the road back to your hotels.
Note:
Transfer and English- and Italian-speaking guides are included.
The tour does not include the entrance fee to the museum (8€).
