Boat tour to Amorgos island from Naxos

General Description

Take this boat tour from Naxos Town and spend an entire day exploring the island of Amorgos, one of the most fantastic and authentic destinations in Greece. The wild beauty and impressive landscape of Amorgos charm visitors at first sight.

We depart from Naxos Town at 08:30 am and arrive at the port of Katapola in Amorgos island at 11:30 am. There you can take the local bus from the bus stop at the port and go to Chora town or the Monastery of Hozoviotissa, the most impressive monument and protector saint of the island. This monastery is constructed on the edge of a steep rock and offer breathtaking view to the Aegean Sea.

Walk the many steps up to the monastery entrance and the monks will treat you the most delicious psimeni raki (local alcohol beverage). Beneath the monastery is the secluded beach of Agia Anna to enjoy a relaxing swim in the crystal water. Back in Chora, the main town of Amorgos, you can walk the paved inner streets and see the white houses with flowered gardens.

If you do not want to take the bus, you can just stay in Katapola and enjoy a nice swim at the close beaches. At noon, have a delicious meal at the many fish taverns that line up the port. At 17:00 pm we depart from Katapola port for our return trip and arrive in Naxos Town at 19:45pm.
