Tour to the city of Thessaloniki from Halkidiki

Grab the opportunity to see the highlights of Thessaloniki with our unique guided tour!

Thessaloniki comprises a must destination for everyone visiting northern Greece. Well-known for its rich history, vivid life, and beautiful setting, no guest should skip getting a glimpse of that magical city.

The tour will start with picking you up from our meeting point (near your hotel) in the morning (between 7:10-8:10). The first thing we will do after reaching Thessaloniki is to visit the enchanting area of Old Town (Ano Poli). An extended part of the city’s fortification (the old city walls) remains intact for you to admire. Since the Old Town is located above the center of Thessaloniki, you can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the city!
Then, we will head to the church of Agios Dimitrios, a Byzantine temple of major historical significance. The church also boasts an impressive crypt.

Then, we will visit the Archaeological and Byzantine Museums. A one-hour-long guided tour will be provided in each of them. Both museums allow you to admire unique exhibits and enhance your knowledge of the historical past of Thessaloniki.

Next, a panoramic bus tour will take you to admire the city’s trademark, the renowned White Tower, and the statue of Alexander the Great. We will also pass by the Arch of Galerius and the impressive monument of Rotonda, both situated nearby.

After about 7 hours, the tour will come to an end (16:00), and you will return to the drop-off point near your accommodation (17:30-18:30).
