Snorkeling boat tour to Kleftiko

General Description

Explore the most fantastic sea region of Milos in our 17meters mono hull sailing boat Mama Maria plus guided snorkeling tours in the sea caves of Kleftiko and lunch.

Klima and Arkoudes Rocks
Our sailboat departs from the port of Adamas at 09:00 am, heading to the west. Few minutes later we pass by the fishing village of Klima, one of the most typical villages of Milos with the characteristic boat garages at the ground floor of the houses. These boat garages are carved in the rocks and are called syrmata. Few miles later we see some impressive rock formations in the sea called Arkoudes, meaning bears in Greek.

Cape Vani
As we sail, we meet an extraordinary rock formation where manganese mines used to operate from 1890 to 1920. This is Cape Vani and old loading bays are still visible today. As we head south, we stop for a refreshing swim at Kalogries or Agathia beach, depending on weather conditions. Our next stop is Sykia Cave, where we will stop for a while and passengers will have the chance to swim inside the cave.

Snorkeling at the Sea Caves of Kleftiko
Afterwards, we arrive in the fantastic sea region of Kleftiko, a very impressive volcanic landscape with huge rocks coming out of the sea and sea caves. This place was a pirate hideout for more than a thousand years. This is the time to wear our snorkeling masks and dive in the crystal water of the Aegean. The captain wears his mask as well and dives with passengers, providing a unique guided snorkeling tour around the caves and the underwater passages of Kleftiko.

This guided snorkeling tour is a special experience for everyone. A go-pro underwater camera is available for the group, so that you can capture your own photos and videos from this boat trip. The photos and videos will be available for downloading the same evening, upon our return to the port of Adamas. After swimming and snorkeling, we will make a cave tour with the rib boat of the yacht to explore even more caves in Kleftiko.

Lunch
After all these activities, it is time for lunch. There will be a two-course meal (salad and pasta with sea food) plus free consumption of beer, wine and soft drinks. After we continue sailing south along the beautiful coasts of Milos to the colourful beach of Firligos, where we stop for a second swim.

The tour ends by sailing along the eastern coasts of Milos and ending up at Pollonia at aproximately 19:30, where our buses will return you to Adamas port.

NOTE:
- The schedule of the boat trip can change depending on weather conditions. However, under no circumstances will Kleftiko be omitted from the trip schedule as this is a must-see spot in Milos island.
- Alternative route in case of strong northern winds: Paleochori- Gerakas- Kleftiko- Tsigrado- Paleochori. The tour starts form Adamas and ends in Polonia one day and the second starts from Polonia and ends in Adamas. The meeting point is at Adamas and the transfer between Adamas and Polonia is included and provided by the boat operator.
Additional transfer to alternative boarding location is provided by the boat operator.
