Discover Scuba diving
General Description
Grab the chance to discover Mykonos’ underwater world with a scuba diving expedition! Enjoy the exploration, get familiar with the diving equipment, and learn valuable information about ocean life!
Here are three different scuba diving activities, all having their meeting point at Mykonos Diving Center near Paradise Beach:
Option number one is adventure diving, which is either a 1-day event or a multi-day experience. The activity is supervised by professional guides speaking English, French, and German, and only certified divers can take part. This diving trip is a prime opportunity to discover wrecks, caverns, and reefs through various diving spots, such as Paradise Reef, Prasonisia, Anna II Wreck, and Peloponnisos Wreck. This experience allows the diver to reach depths up to 45 meters, with travel distances from the starting spot being between 15 minutes to an hour. It is open from early April until November.
The next option is suited for discovering scuba diving, lasting anywhere from 3 hours to a whole day! Equipped with English-, French-, and Italian-speaking guides, this activity is ideal for inexperienced or first-time divers, providing you with an essential 20-minute learning video for your safety and information. Experienced divers will tell you everything you need to know regarding your equipment and its use, then slowly prepare you with shallow-watered exercises. The trip includes three dives of escalating difficulty in order to help you get familiar with the basics of scuba diving. Sites such as Paradise Reef, Paradise Point, and Grouper Rocks will be available for your underwater expeditions, reaching depths up to 30 meters below sea level. This option is available anywhere between the months of April and October.
Lastly, you may try taking some scuba diving PADI courses. This four-day-long experience is PADI certified and can provide you with the title of a certified diver! Including expert guides for English, French, and Italian speakers, you can also finish the theoretical part of these courses online or in a classroom near Paradise Beach. It consists of shallow water and open-water dives, and if you successfully complete all open-water activities, you will receive your certification card. This option requires participants to be a minimum of 12 years of age and is ready to host guests from May to October.
