Jeep Safari fun & drive tour
General Description
Explore the hidden secrets of Mykonos island and visit places accessible only by jeep. Through this jeep safari tour, you will get to see what few people see in Mykonos: breathtaking sea views, rural countryside, secluded beaches, and track roads. The special thing about this tour is that you can actually drive the jeep if you want!
The meeting point is at the Yacht Club, Old Port of Mykonos Town at 9:30 am.
We start our tour at 10:00 am driving along Houlakia beach and then continuing to the lighthouse, on the northwestern side of Mykonos. Then we drive through the region of Marathi, pass the dam and Panormos beach with directions to the bay of Agios Sostis. These beaches are totally secluded and far from the busy coasts of the southern side.
We continue driving to the region of Ano Mera, a non-touristic village of Mykonos island, making a stop at the ruined Venetian Castle of Paleokastro. We also stop there for lunch (not included in the price). This region is agricultural and has an old, abandoned mine nearby. Then we drive by Kalafatis beach.
Afterward, we continue along the southern coast and drive past Kalo Livadi beach. The next stop is Agrari Beach, where we have time for a refreshing coffee and a swim.
We return to Town (old port) in the evening, around 17:30 pm.
NOTE: You need to have with you: beach equipment, sun protection, water, and good shoes.
Drivers must also have their driving licenses. You must be older than 22 years to drive the jeep. Most jeeps have manual transmission but we can also make arrangements upon request and availability for a jeep with automatic transmission at no extra cost.
Furthermore, we can arrange a driver upon request for those who do not wish to drive themselves during the tour.
The additional rate for the driver is 125 Euros.
