Karditsa, on the banks of a
tributary of the Pinios River and with
picturesque traditional villages on the peaks of the Agrafa mountain range, is
a place of contrast and unrivalled beauty. It has always been a crossroads of

their indelible marks over the centuries. Natural landscapes and historical sights

Don't miss visiting Karditsa
in the Karditsa Annual Bazaar, late October, the Karaiskaki Folkloric
celebration, on May 20th to 30th, the Children's Song
Contest and the Book Exhibition in June, all in Karditsa. During the summer a major
festival around the lake and the wine celebrations are truly worth it. In
Palamas, the "Ragoutsaria" or "Rougatsia" (masquerading) are held in the
winter, the "Lazariatika", the "Helidonismata", the Titania events, and the
Karagouna wedding during the Carnival season offer unique experiences.
