Old sponge industry buildings restored and converted into small hotel 2 minutes walking distance from the port in secluded courtyard. The hotel complex entirely surrounds a large garden of oleander and jacaranda, bougainvillea,, wild herbs and cypress. A court and colonnaded swimming pool occupy the spacious garden with colonnades bearing wisteria covered trellises beneath which meals are served. The architect of the hotel was awarded a EUROPA NOSTRA diploma in 1996 for his specific work of restoring the Bratsera. |

The Bratsera Hotel reception
occupies the largest part of the old factory; of magnificent scale, it
has an enchanting aura of the past.Its cheery fire place turns winter into
an ideal holiday time for those cherish the startling light and mountain
walks amid the astounding profusion of wild flowers. The English word halcyon
comes from the Greek term used to describe the twenty days in January,
of typically wondrous weather.
