The island of Hydra is without doubt the most picturesque and unique of all the Greek islands... There is no motor traffic on the island, and donkeys serve as taxis. Strict regulations require all buildings to be constructed in the traditional style. The result is the 'ideal' Greek island, with whitewashed walls, narrow cobbled lanes, tiled roofs and blue shutters. Along one of the narrow lanes, hidden away from the bustling harbour, is 'Hydra Hideaway', a quiet cozy holiday apartment for a couple or a family of three... The apartment is tucked away in a quiet lane near the top of Hydra town. Accessible only on foot (or by donkey!) it is a peaceful retreat and a great base from which to explore the island. The layout is open-plan, with a double bed at one end, the kitchen at the other, and a living space in the middle. The sofabed provides accommodation for a third person, although the apartment is best suited to a couple or a young family. The kitchen is well equipped. There are also many fine tavernas on the island!
