Overview:

Hydra is the most cosmopolitan island in the Saronic Gulf. Its image amazes the visitor, as it is amphitheatrically built on two hills overlooking the harbor. No motorized transport is allowed; only donkeys are to be seen. Hydra has a rich historical and cultural tradition.
