Special Events:
Of the most important
cultural events held on Kefalonia are the Festival for the Union of the Ionian Islands on May 21st,
the international Music Festival (end August) and the Theatrical Festival on
July 15th, all in Argostoli. Others are the Music Festival of Lixouri
in September and the Wine Festival in Fragata (August 18th-20th).
Religious celebrations take place all year round.
