Special Events:

Of the most important cultural events held on Kefalonia are the Festival for the Union of the Ionian Islands on May 21^st, the international Music Festival (end August) and the Theatrical Festival on July 15^th, all in Argostoli. Others are the Music Festival of Lixouri in September and the Wine Festival in Fragata (August 18^th-20^th). Religious celebrations take place all year round.
