Villa Thea looks out over Gouvia to the islands of Lazeretto and Vidhos and the town of Corfu itself and then across the sea to the Greek mainland and Albania. The sunrise viewed from the villa's terrace can be magnificent and indeed the island is noted for its spectacular sunsets as well. Thea is situated in an acre of garden with a swimming pool and sun terrace paved with local Sinies stone and has a large bamboo covered pergola for protection from the midday sun. There is also an in-built barbecue at one end of the terrace. Inside, the well equipped kitchen has a dish washer, fridge/freezer, electric hob, fan oven and extractor. The inside dining area can sit eight people comfortably at the glass and bamboo table. Flower beds surround the pool area, with palms, orange, lemon, lime, and mimosa trees and a profusion of flowering plants; hibiscus, datura, canna; and climbers such as bougainvillea, jasmine and campsis. Olive trees and oleanders surround the property. The sitting-room has double French windows leading out onto the pergola covered terrace with views to the sea. The villa is fully centrally heated for winter visitors, with a working fireplace in the sitting room. The terrace also has a large dining table and comfortable director’s chairs able to accommodate eight or ten people for long al fresco lunches. There is also a table-tennis table, TV and the use of a playstation for children who bring their own games. The Villa has four bedrooms, one double and two twin bedded rooms on the first floor, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Each room also has French windows leading onto its own large private terrace for the opportunity of a little privacy.
