Overview:

Symi, very close to Rhodes Island, is a small picturesque island with lovely pictures and natural landscapes. It is mainly mountainous; rocks, desert beaches, pines and tree-covered hills are to be found. The island is linked with mythology and history, while the traditional Greek island style describes the architecture of the houses.

The most famous cultural event is the three-month long Symi Festival from July to September. Other important festivities are held for the two-day feast of Pentecost and the Feast of the Saviour on August 6^th. Other religious celebrations throughout the year.
