The Blue Bay Hotel, with traditional Karpathian atmoshere! Blue Bay Hotel was opened in 1990 and has been built with traditional Karpathian architecture and decor. It is situated on the outskirts of Karpathos Town and is just 50m from the beach, who's white sands span for more than 2km in length. Being a family owned and operated hotel, there is a welcoming warm atmosphere at all times. Nick, Agnus and Manolis are the best hosters. First impressions on entry, Blue Bay is warmth and friendship, as the bar/lounge and reception areas are wood paneled and decorated in true Karpathian style. Also, the breakfast area and the mezzanine floor is wood paneled, and open with a view of the sea. The Hotel is a 10-15 minute walk away from the town center and 800m from the local Hospital. In the immediate vacinity of the hotel are restaurants, a mini market, and rent a car/bike shops. There is a supermarket 350m away as well. Also, newspapers etc. are available in the vacinity. ur dining area seats 60 people per sitting and is located in the front mezzanine. All wood paneled with Karpathian decor and a view of the sea. A rich Continental Plus Class breakfast is served and is included in the price of the rooms. Breakfast is different every day, and is served by members of the family, thus creating a friendly warm atmosphere where guests become friends and not just a room number. The dining area can also be used as a banquet facility for meetings, reunions, conventions, etc. should this be required.
