Overview:
Lesvos is the third largest island after Crete and Evia and faces Asia Minor. It was once the centre of the Aeolian civilization, which is seen by the impressive historical sites. Its picturesque villages have remained the their architecture style and tradition is very lively preserved, though modern influences, as Mytilini is an artistic, commercial centre attracting many tourists. The island’s beauty is described by olive groves, tree-covered slopes, wonderful beaches and hot springs.
